Florida has a lot to give it's people everywhere from Windermere Real Estate to it's vast history and don't forget Disney :)
In 1880 the South Florida Railroad extened the line from Sanford and the rest of the nation all the way down into Orlando. This railroad made it possible for the Citrus Industry that makes Florida prosper today - delivering it's famous fruits to the northeast. By the roraing 20's Orlando had generated a population that was then over 10,000 people not to mention the downtown look had changed dramatically with the use of automobiles and tourism. Today there are over 1.5 million people in the Orlando communities and it's still growning. And tourism now brings in over 43.4 million people and that was the year 2000 statistic which made and makes it #1 for tourism and it's main source of industry and a great place for employment opportunities. It is a great place to vacation but also a nice place to raise a family and live in - gated communities, golf course communities, old fashion rural communies with excellent schools - it's not all Mickey Mouse Land. My parents are probably going to lean toward downtown orlando with it's luxury condo's, great views, trendy resuraurants, sports complese, theater, opera, outdoor concerts, walks, festivals and even a gondola ride on the Lake Eola!
